Fun fact: this space was my bedroom all throughout my childhood and adolescence. It was the room I came home to during holiday breaks in college and spent 6 months of my life post-graduation. And it's still the room I stay in when I visit home; so I decided that it finally needed a grown-up refresh. Thankfully, my parents were on board and helped me more than I could've ever expected, between clearing out all the leftover stuff from my life, removing the unnecessary desk, taking the shelving off the dresser, and painting that questionable bright aqua color of mid-2000's past this creamy, calm white. AND best part? Most of the pieces in this room were reused or taken from storage, the wall paint my dad already had, and the gorgeous art was left to my parents by a friend. It's now a space I'm so excited to stay in when I visit and I'm sure future guests will thoroughly appreciate.
